Workflow of case submission to ASPC
 
1. User account application
All users should apply for an account for the PI and the user via the online portal of Academia Sinica https://reservation.iis.sinica.edu.tw/servlet/SignInHandler
The account application will be approved by ASPC
 
2. Initial case discussion
ASPC will make an appointment with the user to discuss the case, and to decide which items or package service will be most suitable for the case
Based on the discussion, a project manager (PM) will be assigned to each case
The designated PM will contact the user via email to confirm the case application
 
3. Online case submission
The user should log onto the online portal https://reservation.iis.sinica.edu.tw/servlet/SignInHandler to submit the case application
 
4. Confirmation of service item(s)
The user needs to select the service item(s) and the funding source for payment (IMPORTANT: According to the regulation of the Department of Academic Affairs and Instrument Service (DAAIS) https://daais.sinica.edu.tw/, Academia Sinica users who use non-intramural funds for payment will be considered as external, non-Academia Sinica users)
ASPC confirms the case submission with a quotation
 
5. Case submission
Based on the case requirements and instrument availability, the designated PM will coordinate with the user to plan for sample submission
The user should submit the sample(s) within the agreed timeframe
PM will carry out the experiments and analyses
 
6. Case closure
A report will be sent to the user and the PI through the online system together with an invoice
 
7. Payment
Payments by intramural funds will be completed automatically through the internal account system; those that use extramural funds need to complete the payment via DAAIS.
 
ASPC user account & cases submission guidelines
 
1. Access the Facility reservation system and login https://reservation.iis.sinica.edu.tw/servlet/SignInHandler
1.1 Pleaes apply a personal account of PI for PI’s laboratory.
1.2 IF PI without facility reservation system account, please select 「please click here to register for one
 
1.3 Please fill in Account Registration the following information.
 
PI, please select 「YES」in column
User, please select 「NO」in column
NOTICE! For AS Colleagues, please use the AS gate mail to apply the account for identification of subsequent charge service. e.g. ###@gate.sinica.edu.tw
1.4 After the account is successfully created, please check the registration mailbox to obtain the password, please enter the account and the password correctly to log in to the facility reservation system.
1.5 If user have forgotten personal password, please leave password blank and submit, the system will send the correct password to the user’s e-mail.

3. Select 「New cases
 
4. Select 「ASPC整合型蛋白質結構與功能分析核心設施
 
5. Apply cases.
  User needs to discuss the cases with the principle investigator and project manager of the Academia Sinica Protein Clinic (ASPC), and then apply for a package service or a single service based on the discussion results.
 
6. Submit the service request.
